Headless F2:
This is the Motific take on improving Headband to its higher potential. We started with the Nor-Cal classic, “818 Headband” (Sour Diesel x SFV OG Kush), known for mercilessly lopping the top of your skull off. Then we went for the rest of your head courtesy of our latest and third filial iteration of our Rebel Sour F3 work to guarantee the guillotine does its job! Working with the 818 did not require rocket surgery, but we had to do right by it too.
We knew we had to step up our game to pair the 818 Headband with the best Sour Diesel we could find. We looked to the local Nor-Cal sour diesel pros, our good friends at Rebel Genetics, and did not shy away from the task. We sorted through over 160 Rebel Sour Diesel F3 plants to select our go-to male stud. We narrowed down this huge population to a single male out of over 70 candidates in total, choosing a wicked, classic lemon sour diesel, with dirty sock and greasy OG terpenes. This dude was sticky to the nines with abundant pollen production in chunky flower clusters. I was impressed with the overall branching structure and resistance to powdery mildew, not to mention pests. An absolute winner!
There have been more than a few iterations of Headband over the years. “Headless” will remind you what has been lost – until now. The Sour OG lathers on the diesel-fuel backside and hits that high-reaching ceiling we have come to expect from Headband. This one is hitting and is simply too good to pass up!
