We found HSO’s, “Vanilla Frosting” (Humboldt Frost OG x Humboldt Gelato) to be a unique plant. It has terrific potency that lasts for hours, with an odd sweet vanilla crème taste that really does credit to its name.
It was never a big yielding plant, but the quality of the medicine was very good. Thankfully, it is easy to grow, so a male was hunted that fit the bill for the next steps. DNA’s “Chocolope” is a surprisingly nice Chocolate Kush with the DNA famous Chocolate Thai, layered into a Hershey’s chocolate, earthy, Kush package. DNA’s strain was inbred to f3, and a Cannalope Haze pheno was chosen. She was more resinous than the F1’s, with both better yields and more mold resistance (something Chocolope usually doesn’t handle well), but still with that delicious chocolate flavor.
The Vanilla Frosting male lent that smack-down potency, while the Chocolope F3 stayed true to its lip-smacking flavor and frosty, solid yields with a 55-60 day run-time. There is a lot going on in this plant and you should expect a few phenos to appear, though it seems the baseline of good mold resistance and killer terps will rule. This an F2 line so there will be some gems yet to be discovered.
